On September 6th, the same day as Starfield, the game will be launching on PlayStation 5 consoles.Īdditionally, an Xbox Series port of Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently in the works. Larian’s massively successful RPG may only be available on PC at the moment, but the game is also coming to console. As far as density goes, Baldur’s Gate 3 is insanely dense. In our review-in-progress, we revealed how we spent almost 30 hours in the game without even leaving Act 1. With 17,000 endings, 170 hours of cutscenes and the ability to get plowed by a bear, Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the deepest RPGs ever made. At the time of writing, the game is also available to buy on GOG, CD Projekt‘s DRM-free games marketplace. It’s worth noting that these massive player numbers only count the game’s Steam launch. Currently, the RPG is in ninth place for the most concurrent players since the store launched in 2003, passing EA’s free-to-play battle royale game Apex Legends. With this massive boost in player numbers, the already popular game has already become one of the most played games on Steam. However, after the weekend, the game has already doubled that with over 800,000 concurrent players on Steam alone. Last week, Larian Studios’ RPG managed to reach an eye-watering 400,000 concurrent players on Steam. Over the past week, the new RPG game has entered the all-time Top 10 games in the history of Steam. Larian Studios’ brilliant Dungeons and Dragons game Baldur’s Gate 3 is not only one of the best RPGs around, but also one of the most popular.
